Energy psychotherapy is a relatively new phenomenon, as it seeks to combine the more relational ‘talking therapy’ approach with a more straightforward self-applied energy method with the aim of transforming the release of ‘dense’ energies associated with personal trauma, shame, fear, and guilt and other negative emotions. Ruthie shares personal experiences from her world of working with energy and vibrations gained from her different roles of being a musician, psychotherapist, and meditator. The book explores developmental models of depth psychology, ‘maps’ of the evolution of consciousness, and subtle energy as a framework for safe, grounded work.
