Noel Bell is an integrative psychotherapist based in London. That means that I use a range of tools and techniques from different modalities to best meet the needs of each particular client. I believe therapy should be based on what the client needs, rather than seeking to get clients to comply with standardised treatments. For me, being integrative means being committed to the whole project of therapy, rather than to a particular approach.
Noel Bell is registered and accredited as a psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). The UKCP is the UK’s professional body for the education, training and accreditation of psychotherapists.
Noel Bell is also registered with Counselling Directory
I have worked in project management, mainly public sector organisations, throughout my time in London. I completed a master’s degree in Modern European Studies at the London Metropolitan University and my dissertation was on the causes of the Irish economic boom in the 1990s. My undergraduate study involved reading History & Political Studies at Middlesex University. I participated in the exchange programme to California State University Sacramento for one semester, during my time at Middlesex.
I decided to retrain in Counselling and Psychotherapy in 2010 having always pondered the deep and meaningful questions about why we are here, who we really are and how we can transcend our thinking and consciousness.
I blog about issues in psychotherapy, initially from my lectures and course reading, and more recently about developments within the psychotherapy profession. You can read my blog entries by clicking on the following link psychotherapy blog.
