I have worked in project management, mainly public sector organisations, throughout my time in London, and trying to fit in broadcasting between day jobs. I completed a master’s degree in Modern European Studies at the London Metropolitan University and my dissertation was on the causes of the Irish economic boom. My undergraduate study was History & Political Studies at Middlesex University and, whilst there, I was fortunate enough to participate in the exchange programme to California State University Sacramento for one semester.
I am currently studying part-time for a postgraduate diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy having always pondered the deep and meaningful questions about why we are here, who we really are and how we can transcend our thinking and consciousness.
Noel Bell is an integrative psychotherapist. That means that I use a range of tools and techniques to best meet the needs of each particular client. I believe therapy should be based on what the client needs, rather than getting clients to comply with standardised treatments. Being integrative means being committed to the whole project of therapy, rather than to a particular approach.
I blog about issues in psychotherapy from my lectures and course reading. Check out my psychotherapy blog.
